ARNIKA-Centre Limited Liability Company was established in 2001 with the aim of performing works in the field of energy efficiency and engineering design. Over the years, the Company's specialists have developed several hundred energy audits of district heating systems and heat supply schemes, engineering projects and feasibility studies for industrial, energy and utility companies.
The company actively cooperates with government authorities, municipalities, scientific organisations, numerous Ukrainian and foreign companies and experts. The Company's employees have more than 20 years of experience in energy audits, project management and procurement for the successful implementation of projects financed by IFIs. The Company's specialists maintain active relations with government agencies and NGOs of Ukraine, participate in the implementation of projects financed by international donors (EBRD, World Bank, EU (Tacis and ENPI), USAID, NEFCO and SIDA). The staff has a sound knowledge of international best practices and Ukrainian local conditions in the electricity and energy efficiency sectors, donor policies and standards, and Ukrainian regulations and standards for energy efficiency and energy management. They have received professional training in energy auditing, energy management and IFI procurement policies and rules. ARNIKA-Centre Limited Liability Companyis the official representative in Ukraine of the developer of the T-GID geographic information system.
Energy audit and engineering design
The company's specialists have many years of experience in the integrated design of internal and external engineering networks, energy audits in industry, energy and utilities.
The company has conducted energy audits of heat supply, water supply and sewage systems, public transport, street lighting, solid waste management and buildings in utilities. As part of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine project, we conducted energy audits in the cities of Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lutsk, Khmelnytskyi and Kryvyi Rih. As part of the World Bank project ‘Energy Saving in Administrative and Municipal Buildings in Kyiv’, our experts have carried out more than 400 energy audits of schools, hospitals and kindergartens.
We have developed engineering projects for the following facilities: Odesa Port Plant Yuzhny in Odesa region, NSC Olimpiyskiy and more than 15 residential and public buildings in Kyiv.
Development of heat supply schemes for cities
District heating systems in Ukrainian cities need to be modernised, which should be carried out on the basis of approved energy and environmentally efficient schemes for long-term development. In the course of this work, the Company's specialists are exploring the possibilities of heat supply based on unconventional and renewable energy sources, as well as the most efficient use of existing boiler houses and thermal power plants. Optimised heat supply schemes for the cities of Luhansk, Kryvyi Rih, Kirovohrad, Kerch, Svitlovodsk, Starokonstantinov, Kurakhovo, Smila, Slavuta, Znamenka, Drabov and Dolinskaya were developed and approved at the state level.
 
Development of energy management systems for enterprises
ARNIKA-Centre experts developed measures to improve energy management systems at Zhydachiv Pulp and Paper Mill (Lviv Oblast), Popasna Carriage Repair Plant (Luhansk Oblast), Zaporizhzhia Bakery No. 5, Korosten, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernihiv, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi and Kryvyi Rih.
